Also known as the Gdansk Marathon, but starts in Gdynia. Hotel in Gdansk, so I had to make the early morning train ride to Gdynia. Picking the correct station reduced unnecessary time on feet. Arrived in good time to use the baggage transport. After an out-and-back start the run heads off in the right direction. But just when you might expect to be entering Gdansk you do a 180 and double back to Sopot. Dig deep. Eventually heading back towards Gdansk there is a section through the shipyard. This is such a significant section, but testing due to cobbles, and before long you make your way into the busy market area; full of people enjoying this national holiday. Many quiet sections, but a great finish. Good post-race food. Good medal.
