This a nice fall marathon not too far from Tokyo. It is not a fancy marathon (no medal and no big expo), but overall well-organized, plenty of volunteers, and a lot of serious runners.

The weather was spectacular - blue skies and cool temperature. Relatively flat course, so this could be a good place for a PB. It starts and ends around the Tsukuba University campus. There is nice foliage within the campus and a good view of Mt. Tsukuba along the way. The course gets fairly boring in the middle though and runs along traffic.

You can pick up your race certificate with your net time at the end. I wouldn't recommend traveling far for this race, but it's definitely a nice run for those in Tokyo.
