Head out under the Aspens and climb into the Ponderosa Pines on trails in the Cascade Mountains. The single-loop course starts and finishes in Aspen Meadows at Shevlin Park, an amazing 650 acre park on the edge of Bend.  Great post-race experience with fabulous food, free beer, a custom run cap and finisher's medal for every finisher. Featuring a full all-trail marathon, a half marathon, and a 6.5-mile course (dubbed the “Half As”), the Haulin’ Aspen features beautiful trails that wind through the Deschutes National Forest, showcasing some epic views. With varying terrain and elevation, the cool wooded pine setting provides a challenging and exciting experience. Enjoy the beautiful single track, steep trails, fast descents, and amazing views starting at an elevation of nearly 5500&#39;. Make it a destination this summer – Bend and the Cascades welcome you!</p>
<p>This year, our event has been selected as the USATF Oregon Mountain Trail Marathon and Half Marathon Championships. If you wish to compete in one of these championships, you must be a USATF member and check the USATF Oregon Championship box when you register for the Marathon or Half Marathon. </p>
