Local residents Kenneth Pocasangre and Mariah Smither are training to win in the  Humboldt Bay Marathon this August 13.

The second annual Humboldt Bay Marathon drew hundreds of runners and supporters.

With the inaugural Humboldt Bay Marathon just a few days behind them, race participants and organizers are already thinking ahead for next year.

Though Chris Wehan won with a time of 2 hours and 47 minutes, three other runners led for most of the race.
