The marathon course travels the perimeter of a wildnerness island in Lake Superior. Runners will enjoy old growth forests, white sand beaches, and mulit-colored 300 ft sandstone cliffs featuring far reaching views of Lake Superior.  The race course takes runners into the island's Tombolo and back along Trout Bay, one of the most scenic shorelines in the Great Lakes.
