The 2009 Montana Marathon starts from an elevation of 4,200 to 3,130 feet above sea level, the 26.2 mile course travels through breathtaking countryside with a panoramic mountain view. Beginning in Molt, Montana, and ending at Wendy's Field in Daylis Stadium in Billings, Montana, the scenic course is certified by USATF, #MT06011-MF and #MT06012-MF. The course is scenic road with six rolling hills, none too tough, and the last six miles in town slightly downhill. Final 300 meters is run on an all weather track at Daylis Stadium. Course officially closes at 12:30 pm. Walkers welcome.
