"Just a wonderful race." (about: 2019)

We did this marathon after reading so many positive reviews and at the encouragement of a colleague. Highly appreciated the support and medical help at all stations. They had Nuun and salt tablets which helped immensely in avoiding cramps on what turned out to be a pretty warm humid December day. So many people cheering. The packet pickup prompt and not a whole lot of waiting. Local media coverage also very positive. The after party was wonderful and though I wish I had ran the marathon faster, I have no complaints about the course. Also grateful for hotels close to the start line and so much parking near the race. Sometimes the big city races charge a lot and make you walk a long way to a race. I can't wait to return to this race next year or in a future year.

"first half-marathon, awesome course" (about: 2019)

Being my first half marathon, I was so pleased with the course and organization. The terrain was flat and showed a great side of College Station. I was happy that there weren't so many people that I got lost in the crowd, but enough that I didn't feel alone during the race. Overall, I had an awesome experience and would suggest this to others!

The fans were awesome and had motivating signs. Best part was definitely any and all dogs in attendance.

I have run both the marathon and half-marathon events. This year, I chose to walk the half to help a friend finish, but I still had a fabulous time on the course and at the post-race event.

"Smooth start line, flat, fast, and fun finish!" (about: 2019)

This race is the best race in Texas. It's the only time of year you have a shot at good weather. The start line is smooth, the course is flat, and the people are great. Plus the finish line party is the best, and every gets an awesome finisher jacket. Not to mention the race director is great at what he does. There was a mix up with my husband's bib. I sent and email and he contacted me right away to get it cleared up quickly.

This race is beautifully organized and the course is fantastic! There is enough variety to keep it from getting boring. It winds through neighborhoods where people come out to cheer on the runners and through a college campus which is gorgeous and full of energy and excitement and ends with the most incredible pictures of children who are benefitting from every single person who chose to run this race. It is the most amazing finish line ever!

Starting from registration to crossing the finish line, my experience with the BCS Marathon has been an exceptional one. Weekly emails helped my racing experience with helpful tips and the training program they supplied was perfect. Putting the racer's name on the bib helped spectators make their cheers and applause personal. And I can't forget the post-race festivities! All of it was great!!

Literally makes me emotional to be able to tell you about this race. This was my 7th year to do the BCS half marathon even due to a deferral hiccup by ME, Dan the awesome race director LET ME RUN IT ANYWAY!!! It's the best course I have ever run. The people at the water stops and medical tents are so kind and lovely! There is a house that EVERY YEAR OFFERS THEIR INSIDE BATHROOM to racers (and a shot of egg nog rum if you are over 21... lol). The volunteers are friendly and OH MY GOSH TO SEE THOSE BABIES FACES LINE THE WAY TO THE FINISH LINE... Best part ever. I may be sore and have a few blisters as I type this but I will do this race again next year. TEN YEARS AND HOPING FOR EPIC SWAG! Whoop!!! If you are reading this and have not done this race - COME AND JOIN US!!!!!!!

I always enjoy this race it's so well organized with amazing volunteers and pacers. I missed the college kids cheering is on. They are always so loud and supportive and give you a push to end well. The packet pick up venue was very small I think the high school was easier to walk around, better space. The faces of the kids are so beautiful and I'm so happy they take up another street, praying that the impact will reach more and more as time goes on. Thank you guys for all the hard work. Again, I love this race, as long as I am able I will run it. You just can't beat the course or the volunteers, phenomenal.

"Amazing time on course!" (about: 2019)

From the start to the finish, I had an amazing first full marathon. I ran the 1/2 last year and had a great time, had to come back this year and try the full.
Pacers, spectators all along the route, refreshments, med's, practically anything you may need on your run.

I highly recommend the BCS Marathon.

This was my 8th Marathon and I think this was my best experience in marathon. It's a super nice city and all those people cheering almost every mile is amazing. I was scare because the weather forecast didn't look good but I'm still surprise for that amazing morning everything was perfect. I got 3rd place AG and I'm sad because I couldn't wait for the awards but I hope I'll be able to get my award. I really made a huge effort to get that time and finish this marathon.
