The race director and his staff did an outstanding job of putting on a quality marathon. The shirts, medals, food, and road support were first-class. The Marshall University students came out and I sincerely appreciated their participation. It was a great weekend and nice to see all the 50 States members. It just doesn't get any better than the Marshall University Marathon.

Very well organized event. Plenty of aid stations - more than most marathons, probably due to repeating portions of the course and the out-and-back portions. The fleece jacket is wonderful. Didn't realize there was no mat for the chips at the start and didn't start my watch at the correct time. Course was well marked (painted ont the street) and there were volunteers at all of the intersections. Volunteers and police were very supportive. I really enjoyed running down the middle of the field for the last 100 yards with a football - unique finish to a marathon. The pasta dinner was moved to lunchtime because of the Marshall football game - and this worked out fine. The lunch was great - free for runners, and with LOTS of food.
