McCarver & Moser to Help Sponsor the Sarasota Marathon
Jeweler to Donate Luxury Sports Watches
Sarasota, FL (August 16, 2006) – McCarver and Moser in partnership with
Swiss watchmaker Baume & Mercier is supplying the Sarasota Marathon with a
special donation of luxury watches for the top male and female finishers in
the marathon and the half marathon.
"We have been inspiring Sarasota for more than 28 years," said Everett
McCarver, along with Roland Moser. "We salute the marathon and are happy to
help in its continued success."
The watch for the full marathon men's winner is a 41mm Capeland, automatic
stainless steel chronograph. The women's is an 18kt/stainless steel Diamant
with mother-of-pearl dial and quartz movement. The half marathon men's
winner will receive a 39mm Capeland, automatic stainless steel watch with a
leather band, and the women's winner will receive a stainless steel Riveria
with quartz movement. The combined value of the donated watches exceeds

American born Everett McCarver and Swiss born Roland Moser joined forces in
1979 to build their business on sales, repair and custom services. Today,
McCarver and Moser Jewelers' two-story granite and glass structure, a
beacon and main fixture on St. Armand's, features more than 5,000 sq. ft.
of retail space. The names of McCarver and Moser are often seen on lists of
donors for charitable events.
Swiss watchmaker Baume & Mercier was founded in 1920 by William Baume and
Paul Mercier. The company adopted the PHI Greek letter symbol representing
proportion and balance as its emblem in 1964. The symbol marks the face of
each luxury Baume & Mercier timepiece.
