CLIF named official energy bar for three Abbott World Marathon Majors

US-based performance nutrition brand CLIF has announced new sponsorship agreements, becoming the official energy bar for the 2026 Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America, the TCS London Marathon, and the BMW Berlin Marathon.
The expansion into these Abbott World Marathon Major (AbbottWMM) events builds upon CLIF’s existing multi-year partnership with the Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.). According to the nutrition brand, the expanded sponsorships are intended to support athletes ranging from elite runners to first-time marathon participants.
As part of the collaboration, CLIF will host various activations across the three event weekends, including product sampling, merchandise pop-ups, and refuelling stations for runners and spectators.
Meanwhile, from March 16 – April 26, 2026, the company will launch a new ‘Run the World Challenge’ on Strava. The activation allows participants to unlock rewards and celebrate the lead-up to the Boston, London, and Berlin races.
The ‘Run the World’ campaign also features the release of a limited-edition CLIF Chocolate Berry energy bar. Additionally, a sweepstakes beginning March 1, 2026, is offering participants the chance to win a running or cycling trip to international destinations such as Australia, Argentina, or Japan.
CLIF energy bars are formulated with rolled oats and contain 9–11g of plant protein per bar. Throughout the 2026 season, the brand will also partner with individual athletes competing in the AbbottWMM to highlight personal performance stories.
The 2026 Abbott World Marathon Majors season begins with the Boston Marathon scheduled for April 20, 2026, followed by the London Marathon on April 26, 2026. The Berlin Marathon, organised by SCC Events, will take place later in the year on September 20, 2026.
