The 129th Boston MarathonĀ delivered a thrilling day of elite racing on April 21, 2025, with over 30,000 runners participating and history being made on the womenās side. Sharon Lokedi of Kenya shattered the course record by more than two minutes, finishing in an incredible 2:17:22.
In the menās race, Kenyaās John Korir surged ahead around mile 20 and never looked back, finishing in 2:04:45. With this win, he joins his brother Wesley Korir -who won in 2012 – as the first pair of siblings to win Boston. American Conner Mantz finished a strong fourth, just four seconds off the podium.
On the wheelchair side, Switzerlandās Marcel Hug added another title to his incredible resume, winning the menās division in 1:21:34, while Team USAās Susannah Scaroni claimed her second Boston victory in three years with a time of 1:35:20.
