I do not hesitate to give three fives to Poznan Marathon. The event was very well organized, weather was perfect and spectators outstanding.
In the very beginning at Malta Sport Complex runners had access to all needed facilities including lockers, WC and showers.
Two loops of the course offered views of both old and modern Poznan. Spectators and volunteers were fantastic and supportive. The final few hundreds of meters were fast downhill towards the finish line. Cold and free Lech Beer was a nice bonus for runners.
Thank you Poznan = dziekuje za wspanialy bieg!

The running conditions were perfect, and race-day was well organized. The expo is not overwhelmingly large, and is well organized. Flat course and very friendly people. The water stations were well equipped; support staff were pleasant and ready to serve. The only disappointment is that we got a cotton t-shirt at pick-up. I was hoping for a technical shirt. I will definitely do this one again though.

Poznan must be one of the best, if not the best, for value. To start with, many runners qualify for a free entry. There is a free pasta party before race day, a decent medal and t-shirt, post-run hot food and drinks. This year there was also a running vest from one of the sponsors. Having said all that, the entry, registration and course facilities were excellent too. Various improvements have been made since I ran this event three years ago (a structured start on a wide roadway, avoiding bottlenecks in the park was one). Digital displays at the chip-timing mats would be a help but these times are included in the results page.

By far the best organized marathon I've run - puts some other marathons to shame (yes, I'm looking at you, Edinburgh). Tons of water/Powerade/sponges/bananas/stalls. Support was amazing considering there were 3,000 entrants. Course is fairly flat and I'm ambivalent about the two-lap aspect. Poznan has a pretty Medieval Center and the Poles are charming and very friendly. Ryanair flies there, and costs are minimal for those with Sterling/euros/USD.

Great track! It was my first marathon where I ran onto the second round without getting bored - mostly because of the hill on the track. Poznan isn't flat and if it is a windy, rainy and cold day, you should add some oil to your pasta in the morning. If you want to go there for the first time, don't go out too fast or you'll die in the middle of the second track. You can also sleep in a sport arena totally free, which is one of the best things they do in Poland. First start without an entry fee!!!

It was my third marathon (before I ran in Riga and Vilnius) and I can say that it is the best marathon of all I have ever run.
In my mind, the organization was perfect! Spectators were amazing! All of them were very active! I'll remember this marathon for a long time.

From the start location to the cobbled section in the old town this was one to enjoy. The start was a little congested and they'll probably have to structure it if numbers grow. But with chip timing you get a fair result. Some sections of this two lap course had no supporters but the enthusiasm along other sections compensated. Good distance markers and drinks stations, an almost flat course, good pasta provision, t-shirt and medal.....what more could you ask for, for your ten dollars? Actually, as a 60 year old I was given free entry!
