"Thank you Run With Paula for Portlandathon" (about: 2018)

Portlandathon was the replacement race for this year's Portland Marathon. The Portland Marathon had legal troubles surrounding its former race director and was canceled in April. The city awarded the marathon to new race organizers with only 4 months to prepare. With limited promotion and a new name, Portlandathon had a decent turn out. There were 1,000 marathoners and 2,500 runners in the half marathon and 5 miler.

Run With Paula announced this was a one time event for them. They do not want to be the permanent race organizer, but I want to thank them for saving this year's race.

"Thankful!" (about: 2018)

With all that's going on, I'm thankful the raise still moved forward. It was my third marathon-half marathon race. But I did it locally this time. The only thing that was frustrating was I heard about some folks being stuck by the train as they let us know and then I feared that we would be stopped by the train and just in time we were able to move forward. That would've been mentally frustrating if I would've had to stop the momentum. I feel sorry for the folks that this happened to you and hope that next year things will be different. Otherwise great race and thankful we had one in Portland!
