This year there were 24 marathoners; in 2018 there were 15. The race directors do a fantastic job marking the course, which is on dirt roads through the Babbitt Ranch north of Flagstaff, AZ. There are no spectators and the aid stations are every 4-6 miles so it's more like a trail race. The scenery is gorgeous! Be prepared for higher elevation about 6000' with plenty of long uphills.
