Beautiful laid-back race (about: 2013)|

This is a great little race in a wonderful town. If you like small mellow events, this is for you. Good race for maniacs and 50-staters.
Very well organized - cheerful volunteers at aid stations, buses right on time, and porta-potties at decent intervals
Amazing scenery every step of the way
Course is a point-to-point with a net elevation drop, and is mostly flat to gently rolling with only a couple hills of note
Nice shirt, medal - and SOCKS!
Plenty to do in Bozeman - lots of shopping, restaurants, bars, galleries, etc.
Course was open to traffic, but most drivers were very considerate of the runners, and traffic control in Bozeman itself was great
If you need cheering throngs for inspiration, this is not the race for you. Faster folks may have had a different experience, but I'm towards the back of the pack and didn't see a lot of people for the first 24 or so miles.
Can't comment on the party/music/food after the race (had other plans, so just didn't bother to see what was still available.)
