This ran very smoothly for a first time event. There was a lot of community support in the way of sponsorships. There was some confusion from the course traffic directors and the half marathon participants had to run a mile extra. Just some miscommunication. The shirts were a too colorful for my taste. I think just a small tasteful design is best. The trophies were nothing to brag about, but no one goes for the trophies. The race packets were nice and a fun bonus. The relay resulted in some frustration from the last leg runners. They were required to wait on the bus for 3+ hours prior to running. There must be a better way to organize that. Overall a fun event. I am excited for it to become a tradition.

"This is a 6 star organised race" (about: 2012)

50+ previous marathons | 1 Blackfoot Marathon and More
COURSE: 3  ORGANIZATION: 5  FANS: 1

For a first time race the organisation was fantastic.Everything was smoothly run.The map in the goodie bag was not needed because the course was so well marked and supervised by plentiful volunteers. This part of Idaho is flat,so the course itself was not terribly exciting.Few people live along the course hence few spectators. The weather was great, and overall I think that this race is a valuable addition to the Idaho marathon community.May it 'live long and prosper'.
