"First Canaries Marathon Be back next year" (about: 2017)

COURSE: 4 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 4 As below, I did the bus tour of the city and course on the Friday night, which helped with some fears as it was the first year with the new course. And I can tell you running along side the ocean with palm trees in a warm 23c Heat (which was hard but bearable) you could be mistaken for California :) Plenty of water, sponge stations, banana's and some fruit along the way. A run through the old town city centre and then up along the sandy coast line to the finish line, high fiving and getting cheered on all along the way, is a certain bucket list Marathon for anyone. Loved it and will be back, well organised. Think just under 1200 people in marathon, I finished better than 50% :) Great experience.

COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 4 Wow, a great Marathon! Organization was superb, friendly and efficient. Lots of pleasant freebies such as a free 4-hour city tour for runners and their families, very nice and free pasta party, excellent Mizuno t-shirt, lots of free photos from the course. The course itself is spectacular. Every water station had lots of delicious sport drink Aquarius with a choice of flavors, and also lots of almonds, wallnuts, raisins, bananas. The weather was great as well, but I wish there was one more water station in the last 10 km or so. The finish line area had lots of food even for slower runners (5+ hours). Finally, the Canary Islands are nothing less than a Paradise, especially in January. Go for it!
