If you don't need adoring fans, but enjoy the solitude of the country, this is the one for you. Very friendly, good course support, showers at finish. With 3 out & backs you see everyone several times. Not too flat, slight rolling hills. Highly recommend.

ANOTHER GREAT DAY at the ranck! (about: 2012)

As with the past few years another well put together day of races was put together. I want to thank all who worked hard to bless us! I had a lot of pain my last few miles ( ran too fast the first half) but glad I was able to finish and have the fellowship at the finish line area! ~ Lots of good food and shared time with the staff and runners.

GOING BACK even with a 3 plus hour drive! (about: 2011)

The support was outstanding. They course is in a rural setting. I cannot really add anything that has not been written before. Highly recommend the marathon.

Small race; great, big enjoyment (about: 2011)

For Florida this was a hilly course. The only "hills" we have in NE Florida are bridges and on this course there were none.

The three water stations were well stocked and well manned. Nice, paved, country roads to run on and orange cones dotted the course so the occasional car knew something was going on. Signs marked the various miles but I tended to ignore them and just counted the laps required to run the marathon.

Drinks and food were plenty at the end. Showers were available and there was plenty of freezing cold or scalding hot water. Organizers took plenty of pictures during the day and via their website you could download the pictures free!

Best of all, there was no traffic congestion trying to get to the race. Arrived 15 minutes before the start and there was plenty of parking. I walked 100 yards to the start and I was ready to run.

There was even one vendor at the start/finish line with running gear, etc.

A very enjoyable day and I will be running it again next year.

Lovely, little race in a country setting (about: 2011)

Low-key, low-budget race - a 4-loop course on lightly traveled roads on a youth ranch in a small, Florida town. Only spectators were cows, chickens, and roosters, so if you need lots of cheering people, this is definitely not the race for you. Three aid stations well placed with water and Gatorade, and salty crackers, bagels and bananas at the finish line. No chip timing and an inexpensive but appropriate sheriff's badge for a medal. Still. this race was well-organized, with helpful and friendly volunteers. Well done!
