This was my first marathon, back in 2001, and still the most challenging. 21K up and 21K down a gorgeous mountain in superb running weather. Course elevations vary from flat to steep to rolling, but the amazing scenery--running past spectacular jadeite cliffs, through tunnels, past temples, along a rushing river, just can't be beat. If you've run NYC, this is the flip side of that experience--not many spectators, but a field of very enthusiastic, international runners and--it seems--all of nature cheering you on. Organization's great and supportive, post-race events were good, too. I'll be back for sure
