The race runs throughout the bests's places of Rosario city. I believe the date of the marathon was excellent chosen, because it's a little bit cold during the start and pleasantly warm when the race finish.
Excellent organization and people really support ALL THE ATHLETES making noise and encouraging them.
I'll repeat next year my participation.

Great Event, nice views of the river, nearly flat (about: 2011)

I greatly enjoyed this race. Cool morning, mostly flat course through the best sections of town with one minor exception. Loved the bagged water, made it easy to drink while running. Fantastic awards ceremony, top 5 in each age group get special recognition and top 40 get a trophy cup in addtion to the finisher medal. Course was well marked and supported by pleanty of people throughout the course. Good to have the start and finish at the same place without being the typical out and back course.

Poor organization, nice riverfront (about: 2011)

After 3 marathons in europe, running a marathon in Argentina was a difficult experience... The organization level was very poor, the pre-marathon expo small and boring, the volunteers weren't well prepared, the transit wasn't stopped everywhere, the route not very exciting.
Not too many spectators, too. You can't blame them - argentinians don't wake up that early in the morning...
The run along the Parana river is great.
In general, I wouldn't come back to run here again.

Nice, flat course; half scenic; half not as much (about: 2010)

This is a nice, flat course. Aid stations are basic but do the job (water and occasional Gatorade). Medium number of spectators but high energy. Nice t-shirts and cups for the first 40 runners in every division. My first race outside of the US was a good experience. Turns out, running's the same down here.

Feels like home (about: 2008)

For a runner like me - who lives in Santiago, Chile - have the opportunity to run a relatively flat marathon, getting there in just a couple of hour by plane, and running in mild, cold weather is priceless.
This race has 7 prior runnings, and the course is the same - in fact it's IAFF certified, so the organization has improved over the years. The crowd is enthusiastic, but there are only a few people (do not expect thousands of people cheering for you). Still, the quality of these supporters are out of question!
The amenities of the city include good restaurants. I truly recommend this fast marathon, whether you run it as your main event of the year, or as a preparation for a major one in the second half of the year.

Awesome marathon experience (about: 2005)

Atletismo Rosario did a great job organizing the event. There were water stops every 5km, fruits at the 21km point, lots of volunteers to direct the runners along the path of the course, and lots of prizes (medals and T-shirts for all finisheres as well as cups for the first fourty to arrive in each category). The course is mostly flat thus it is a great course for first marathoners like myself or for those who want to run a fast marathon time. The view was great as well! Most of the course was run along the river Parana. For such a small organization, the organizers did an amazing job putting it together. Another highlight, they made foreigners feel at home. The organizers were really helpful in answering all my questions and helping me in anything I needed. I highly recommend this marathon to everyone.
