Looping around Lake Rotorua provides some nice scenery if you have the energy to look. There are some mean hills around the back of the lake but they are all over by 30KM. KM markers were excellent, the medical vans were hard to find, toilets (as at any race) were too few. Finish was great with lots of spectators in the town as well as a few interesting ones along the route. I was given the wrong t-shirt (5 & 10K) instead of the glorious finisher's T, but exchange was no problem. Prize-giving was a yawn because all spot prizes had already been allocated. The course is kept open for over 6:30 so the race is really friendly to slow runners and walkers.

Very well put together. Raining, so not very pleasant, but refreshing for viewers. Overall, it was excellent!!!
