The advertising slogan above is right! Takes 5 days to get to the island, but on the RMS it's not a way of getting there, but part of the holiday.
The run is incredibly tough; the only flat section is the cricket field you finish on. The scenery is spectacular, you see the entire island, with it's weird rock formations, peaks and valleys.
Most runners treated this as a social event and another way to see the island. Only 6 people finished, winning time of 4:06 tells you something of the difficulty and relaxed atmosphere. My 5:22 was good enough for a gold medal!
