"All runners deserve to receive a t-shirt." (about: 2012)

11-50 previous marathons | 2 Wally Hayward Marathons
COURSE: 5  ORGANIZATION: 5  FANS: 4

Disappointed for having to pay R80-00 for a Temporary licence. In KZN I had to pay R30-00 to run a Ultra Marathon. Most disappointing thing, all runners did not receive a T-shirt after completing the race.Any runner likes to receive a commerative t-shirt after or before a race.Irrespective of time, we all work hard to finish the race.I travelled from Ladysmith to take part in this event and left disappointed.

I have enjoyed the course even though it was my first time running a marathon - and well done to the organizers and the participants.

"Cold, great, fun; was it really 10 km?" (about: 2005)

First Marathon
COURSE: 4  ORGANIZATION: 4  FANS: 4

The race started at 7 am and it was still cold; the sun has just risen above the horizon, but the temperatures had not.

There were a lot of 10 km participants. The spirit at the beginning was amazing - all the excitement, all the talking.

When the cannon went "boom" and we all started running, it only got better.

I have never run a 10 km before this one and for me it felt great. Running below 55 was my goal and I did achieve that. But the rest of the people around me wanted to know if it really was 10 km.
