 "A great race all around!!!" (about: 2009)

COURSE: 4 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 I ran the Vaxjo Marathon this year (2009) and was possibly the only runner from the UK. It is well organized and the atmosphere is very friendly. Registration on the day appeals to me also, and a start time of 11 a.m. allows plenty of time for a good breakfast and some loosening up. This race is getting more popular, and this year there were 385 finishers. I ran a personal best on a very flat course and would rate the whole event very highly. Thanks go to the organizers, the marshals, and all of the spectators who turned up to make my race a truly memorable occasion. Do this marathon and you won't regret it!!! | |

 "Nice, flat, well organised small race" (General Comments)
COURSE: 4 ORGANIZATION: 4 FANS: 2 It is a relatively small race with less than 200 participants. It is however well organised with refreshments every 2.5 km. The race goes eight very flat laps around a lake with 5.2 km per lap. Some people don't like such a race, but I like it. It gives a kind of rhythm to the running. You can also have your private refreshment and pick up extra clothes if needed etc. There are not so many spectators but those that are there are enthusiastic. This year 2002 the weather was lousy with snow and rain but this is not usual in southern Sweden. |
