Loved this challenge!! And really enjoyed seeing friends over and over again on the coarse. One improvement would be to shift the finish line over so that we don't cross the finish line multiple times before truly finishing.

First Marathon

I ran the half marathon on saturday and the 5k on sunday. Libby did an amazing job putting this race on. Pre-race communication was fantastic, the organization was great. The course had the potential to be confusing but everything was so well managed, it ran flawlessly(in my eyes!) and the loop format made it fun to see the other runners multiple times during the race. The numbers were kept small(max 1000 runners each day) which gave it a more personal feel. The technical shirts for each day are AWESOME!! And, of course, the medals for every finisher in all distances and the challenge plate was a wonderful reward!

Best organized race ever!! (about: 2011)

Although this year I only did the 5k on NYE I had a wonderful time. The start was possibly the most organized race I have ever participated in. The staff was ever so helpful and when I did have an issue, Libby got back to me in a very timely manner. I 'ran' this race on crutches. My normal distances are the 5k and the half marathon. This was to be a training run in between halves and I loved the experience. My non running nephew (age12.5) has already expressed an interest in doing the relay with his younger sister(11.5) next. I just wish we could sign up now.

This was the most fun race - what a great way to ring out the old year! I only did the half both days...
Well organized - great communication, although those who don't do facebook might hav had a little less info.

This race was small but so incredibly well organized. The venue is really quaint and very scenic. The directors were really great at communicating leading up to and during the race weekend. T-shirts, metals, signage, parking even the spectators were clean, and encouraging. My friends came to watch and commented on how nice it was - easy to park and easy to find me along the course.

Race director was unbelievable and everything ran smoothly from the time I signed up to the end of the 2nd day. Great volunteers & spectators!
