Everything about this race was wonderful. The energy, enthusiasm and positivity from race director Chris was nothing short of inspirational. From months before the race, to race day, and even post race, he was a great motivator. The race itself was well organized. Shirts and medals were great, and so were the food and drinks. The whole experience was heightened to a new level because Chris kept in mind the charities the race benefits. I felt like I was doing something more than just running. I was part of something bigger. I plan to do this event every year.

I ran the half marathon and was so impressed by the organizer, city, support, well-marked course, plentiful aid stations and after race food that I'm thinking about making this my first full marathon race next year.

This race just keeps getting better and better. (about: 2012)

This race has all the creature comforts (cleanest portajohns, best food and beer choices post-race), a race director who goes far above and beyond to get people excited about the race, and volunteers who will literally run after you to make sure that you get Gatorade. Yes, the last bit really happened to me at the first water stop: a volunteer sprinted at least 100 yards to catch up to me with a cup after I missed a grab.

AWESOME!! Organized and Prepared for a large group (about: 2012)

I ran the half marathon. The music was great along the course. The water stops were in the perfect place. The crowd was awesome. The awards were SUPER nice.
The course was very nice but it was Not Flat!!
Thanks for an amazing race and experience :)

Best Marathon Around! (about: 2012)

This was my first marathon ever in 2011 and I couldn't resist running it again in 2012. The organizers do an amazing job of taking care of all the runners. They get so many volunteers at aid stations and even the people who live along the streets we run come out to cheer on the runners. I have run many road races, in BCS and outside, and this is by far my best experience. And the post-race food this year was amazing! I have no complaints about any part of the race, except the crazy hot weather we had in 2012.

I think the best part of this race is that ALL proceeds go to charities. Everyone who organizes the race is a volunteer, there is no company making huge profits off the race.

Doing good for myself and others (about: 2012)

It is so wonderful to live in a community where something amazing, like this race, can take place. It feels so good to not only be doing good for myself, but to be giving back in a small way to others. This race is top notch, all the way around!

Potential heat disaster...organizers diverted that (about: 2012)

The heat and humidity could have been bad publicity for this small race but the organizers came through like they were directing the New York marathon. I've participated in countless marathons/1/2 marathons and for some reason I was very emotional at this one. Someone commented that the food was depleted by the 1/2 marathoners but we hung around until the end and there were plenty of goodies.

Scenic, fun run, well organised, excellent communi (about: 2012)

Only complaint is as an out of towner it was very hard for me to prepare, I like to dirve the route at the very least and this was impossible due to a map that was very hard to read and the final stretch through the campus is on foot paths.
