This was my first Marathon. Everything about the race far exceeded my expectations. Communications prior to the race were excellent. The support along the course was phenomenal. The medical team at the finish line was an unexpected but greatly appreciated addition. They immediately took me to be cooled down and made sure I was feeling okay.
The weather was not the best for a Marathon, but race organizers did everything they could to make sure runners stayed safe and hydrated.
Thanks for a great race!

This was not only a great race, but the best overall race experience I've had yet! Communication from the race director Chris Fields and his team was frequent, thorough and clear starting many months before race day. The race is also for a great cause, raising money to rescue children from slavery in Ghana. 100% of proceeds go to this cause! The course itself is awesome, going all around College Station with 6 - 7 miles of it on the A&M campus. Mostly flat (flatter than Austin marathon). Course support was great. Plenty of water, Gatorade and food along the way. I'm sure I'm missing something but those are the highlights. Overall, best race experience I've ever had, and I'll be back next year!

Chris Fields did a fantastic job organizing this race and keeping everybody in the loop when the weather temperatures trended higher. The on-course support was perfect and the fans were out in abundance. I loved running through both cities and the A&M campus. Can't say enough about this race! I'll do the full next year!

Everything about this race is amazing. All of your registration fee goes to charity. The race director is amazing and very well organized. Great communication. Great food and drinks after the race. Lots of water/gatorade stations throughout. Get two shirts and an awesome medal. This race should be on your schedule every year.

This was a fantastic race! Good course, good people. The food at the end was amazing! We needed a few more trashcans and toilet paper, but other than that, everything was wonderful! Thanks especially for providing more stops and medical care due to the weather - it was much needed.

This was a wonderful event. I appreciate the great communication that is done throughout the year, both on Facebook and by email. I have attended one other event during the year and it was great fun!! The Expo was great this year and last, but this year's was bigger and better. It was awesome being congratulated at the end of the race by Chris Field. And to have my name announced. Wow, that's huge!! I'll be back next year and will be recruiting new folks to join me.

The course was really nice, and wound through a lot of sites in a rather small area. There were tons of spectators and signs all over the course to encourage us. From a 10 year old kid with a drum kit on a street corner at mile 2, to A&M student organizations, to churches there were tons of groups out cheering and some very creative signs as well. It supports a great cause too. The only down side was the somewhat disorganzied post-race celebrations. I walked right by t-shirts without realizing it and had to go back, and the line was so long for food that we just went to a restaurant. But overall this was a great race, and only in its second year when I ran it. I expect it to get better every year, although it is already a very good race! It was unusually warm and they ordered extra water/gatorade so no one ran out. It is also penguin-friendly (slow-runners). With the warm weather and the advisement to slow down, they extended the course time limit to allow for that.

I liked the changes to the full marathon course this year, especially getting to run through campus more. The cold towels were great.
