I have run both years. The Half last year and the Full this year. This run is an outstanding event with a super sponsor and race director. Every detail covered, incredibly close and easy parking and a ton of volunteers. Due to heat and humidity this year lots of heat related issues dealt with by an outstanding medical staff.

I've ran the BCS 1/2 marathon the last 2 years and have had a great time doing so. The course is great and the people are great. Chris and his crew do an excellent job of putting together the event.

This Marathon was so Awesome and Lots of Fun. Race Director in staff kept us all well informed about EVERY little thing in my opinion. Course was fun slightly different from last year do to local construction, made it that more interesting. Just Surprise after Surprise with the cheering Spectators and Volunteers. Just Loved It!!!!
I totally Love how We all Work together to get each other through this from Race Director, volunteers (behind the scenes and front line), and race participants. Cannot tell you how many people said thank you while on the course to volunteers and then encouraged each other throughout the race. Definitely looking forward to Next Year.

I ran my first half marathon last year at the inaugural race and my first full marathon this year in B/CS. I have to say that this is the best organized race I have ever been a part of. The people that organize and volunteer their time in making it what it is are truly AWESOME! This is one race that I will run year in and year out...guaranteed!

The race director is a runner and organizes everything for the maximum benefit of the runners. Free and plentiful parking near the course.
Water/Gatorade stops were plentiful and well-spaced out. The Race started on-time as well. Nothing worse than waiting and waiting 10-15 minutes later than it should start.
Pepperoni Rolls, BBQ, Strawberry Tarts, Muscle Milk, Pina Coladas, Margaritas, several types of beers, bananas, apples, oranges all available to runners after race.
Finisher's Shirt.
Packet Pickup long-sleeve shirt.

This race was absolutely fantastic! Starting off, they had more than enough portables so no long lines at the start, and the course was very clearly marked, with fantastic volunteers who were extremely supportive. After the race, we were treated to the best post race spread of food and drink I've ever had! The finishing medals and finisher shirts were exceptional as well. The medical support for this race was truly the best I have ever seen. They were so attentive to everyone who was racing. I would definitely recommend this race to anyone and will do it again myself!

I enjoyed myself, it felt great to run, even the weather wasn't so bad!
I just wish that the first set of potties (at mile 3 I assume) weren't so hard to see. Most of the people I talked to didn't see any potties til mile 6 (of the Half) and we were all very disappointed. Please make them more visible. Also, what happened to the towels at the finish? I saw some lying around but I never got one. The finish was pretty disorganized. The lines to the 'runners village' were difficult to navigate and caused us to have to stand still - hard to do after 13.1. Also, please have police mobile HQ away from the potties at the start - it make it hard to que up.
All in all, I had a great time, I felt good, and enjoyed the food and drinks after. I love the medal and the finishers shirts, as well as the shirts for participating. Thanks for everything. I look forward to your race series.
