I woke up today STILL SMILING from the joy of the race and the chance to push myself beyond my limits. The facebook excitement you created made me feel like I was preparing to attend the circus... you know how excited you get? ;) This was my second year to volunteer for the race and my first year to run it. It was EPIC awesomeness. I cried when I saw those sweet babies who were rescued at the finish. I CANNOT WAIT TO RUN NEXT YEAR AGAIN!!!! The dri fit shirt runs small so I can't really ever wear my finisher shirt. BOO. But such is life... lol

Well organized, great race. (about: 2012)

The entire race experience was great, from sign up to the food after the race. The Saturday expo and packet pick up was well organized. Race day was phenomenal. There was plenty of food, drinks and cold/wet towels on the course. Lots of people on the course cheering us on. Plenty of good food and drinks after. Thanks Chris!

My first marathon - great course, great volunteers, very well prepared. Loved the enthusiasm. Great shirts and medals, too.

The B/CS Half Marathon was my first race beyond a 5K, and the whole process was incredible. Several thousand people ran this event, but I feel like the runners and the organizers are part of a much smaller community; a friendly atmosphere to go relax. I am immensely satisfied with my choice to race in the B/CS Half this year.

A great race! Even better than last year. And the best part...IPA draft beer at the end : )

Great race! VERY well organized and flat. (about: 2012)

This marathon was great - mostly because of the race director and organization of the event itself. Also, the course was flat (some very gently rolling hills, but in general flat). There was 'enough' crowd support to cheer you on. Would do it again.

I can't tell you how well organized this race was. Communication was great, route was perfect, volunteers were very friendly, etc. It couldn't have been any better.

I would like to say that this marathon was very well organized and thought out! I like that the course split at the 4-mile mark. Water stations every mile and a half helped many runners in this years humid conditions. The course was fairly flat, but did have some small hills.
The crowd though sparse, was very encouraging, a testament to the hospitality of Bryan- College Station. Parking was easy, no traffic, and I did not have to worry about getting to the start line. No corrals needed as most people were conscious of their abilities. There was no pushing, shoving, or dodging people at all, even though almost 4000 runners started!
The post race refreshments were the best I have ever had! Austin, take notes! Michelob offered 3 different draft beers, a margarita and pina colada machine offered runners as much as they wanted, and after running a marathon, this is a nice treat! The BBQ sandwich was awesome. Everyone was so enthusiastic and nice. The only drawback were the conditions, start temp was 70 degrees and 100% humidity.
again, my hat is off to the team that offered this marathon! I will definitely be back next year!

This a great race for a great reason. The volunteers are outstanding and the community support is such a blast!

I had a great time returning to my college hometown for this race! I absolutely loved running through campus! Also appreciated all the pre-race communication and organization. And the finisher medal with a spinning shoe was so cool! I look forward to coming back next year an running this race again!
