I ran my first Marathon this year, and I´m soooo glad, I did it in Vienna, Austria! Its like the most impressive, architecturally and culturally extraordinary Marathon! The course is flat and well prepared, people are so friendly, the time of the year is extremely good! What a wonderful experience! Follow me! There´s no way ever to forget this race. They (i.e. the runners!) always come back!

I ran the Vienna City Marathon in 2002. It was a wonderful race, very well supported by the citizens and staffed by a capable group. The atmosphere at the finishing line was mind-gobbling, an enthusiastic crowd and the beautiful setting in front of the historic city hall made for memories that will last for ever. What really thrilled me, at the pasta-party they don´t serve pasta but a traditional Austrian dessert. This marathon was a crash course in culture. I love it.

To run this marathon is like a great sigthseeing tour in a marvelous city.
Compared to other marathons the organization is excellent and there is no traffic on the course.

Running through the center of Vienna (Ringstrasse). Lots of spectators there. Excellent Course. But there are some parts of the course where there are not so many spectators. I love Vienna City Marathon!!
