This is the first marathon to be run in the city of Brussels. I trust it will be a good one; ING (the sponsor) has deep experience in other events, such as New York.

The website is still in development, so check back periodically for additional race details. One element which should prove rather interesting is the late start -- 1pm! I looked on the astronomical tables, and sunset is at 5:59pm in Brussels on that day. I don't know what the official time limit for the race is, but the sun will be gone after 5 hours. For some runners, it may be a bit on the chilly side towards the end.

The race is rather reasonably priced at 25 Euro (around $30) which includes the runner's shirt. At that price, I'm expecting that it won't disappoint.
