No water at the mile 6 station, and on the 2nd lap, there were no marshalls and the roads reopened with very little water due to the shortage (and it was a very hot day). Refuse to do this one again.

I took part in the Wolverhampton Half Marathon 2004 and was very pleased with the day. I am only 17 and have never done anything like that before, so from a first time impression, I thought it was a success and I very much enjoyed myself.

If I were to comment on anything, I would have to say that the amount of water-stations was not sufficient. As I haven't done it before I was only taking it easy, so when I reached a water-station, they had run out of water. It was a very hot day and I felt very dehydrated at the end of the course. If there was more water supplied, or in smaller bottles so less was wasted, then it would have been better. I?m guessing that due to there being none for me, there would have been none for the full marathon runners who were running the course twice, and would probably need it more than me - especially towards the end of the second lap.

I hope this can be improved for next year and apart from this, I would like to thank all of the organizers for such a great day.
