This is a great late spring 'small' marathon. You have the opportunity to generate a little speed because you're not being blocked by masses of run/walkers who like to frequent the large US marathons I typically do in the fall. The course is pretty flat and you usually end up with a late tailwind along the lake. Canadians are better spectators than they are cheerleaders, but they can be trained (if you have the energy to encourage them to encourage you).

This year the marathon has changed to a Rock and Roll Marathon with bands along course. They have Don Cherry, Allen Frew, Jeff Galloway and John Stanton coming to the Race. Should be a good one
