This was my 37th marathon and definitely one of the better experiences.
Although the crowds were very sparse, probably due to 39-degree weather, they were cheerful. Course was good and because it was mostly in neighborhoods, the 20 mph wind was not a factor. I was looking forward to the mile timing mats and was disappointed they were now every 5 miles. I was very pleased with the number of water stops and GU stations. Other marathons should be so good! And thanks for the "Live Updates" e-mails - my parents were most appreciative.
I loved running through Lambeau!!!! Great place to start and finish.
The shirts should be better and different for the 5K, half, and marathon.
I never thought a brat and beer would taste so good at the finish.

This was my eighth marathon and the first time I qualified for Boston, mainly due to a great pace leader of the 3:30 group. Being able to go into the stadium before and after the race was a huge benefit. Put Green Bay on your list.

The Green Bay Marathon is a top-notch alternative to other Upper Midwest spring marathons. Not only is the race very well done, but it is also easy to find lodging, easy to find dining before and after the race, and very simple to navigate the city. This race was also very easy on the wallet, while many other spring marathons take advantage of participants.

Overall a great experience.... The weather was tricky (30 degrees and 20 mph winds) but you can't fault the race organizers for that. Great, flat course, great fans, great volunteers.

The City of Green Bay is host to one of the best small marathons around. It has everything a marathoner would want: expo, nice pre-race meal, pace groups, 3 GU stops, fast course, his and her finishing medals, post-race party, and a run around the inside of Lambeau Field. Put this marathon on your list!

Moving the expo, the starting line, and the pasta dinner to Lambeau Field was a great decision. The volunteers at the expo, the water stations, and the finish area were great, as always. The medals were awesome. I liked the new course.
Even in a great race like this, there's always room for improvement. First, I agree with comments from prior years that the t-shirts (at least for the full and half) should be on technical fabric, not cotton or cotton-blend. Second, I miss the timing chip mats at every mile. Having the timing mats at every mile (as opposed to every five miles) was one of the things that set this race apart. I learned so much from that information in 2006, and it helped me with my training for this year. I hope the that the race organizer brings timing pads at every mile back for next year.

Very well run race, and the course is fairly flat, but you run on a lot of cement (my feet hurt). Only one problem: lack of Mylar blankets for the marathoners at the end (they gave them all out to the walkers).

This marathon was great! The course was flat and fast, and was not a boring out-and-back. There is a paucity of public transportation in GB, so the shuttles to and from hotels were a welcome touch. The water, Gatorade, fruit, cookie, candy, and Gu stops were extremely generous, and, along with the run through Lambeau, they make this a well-deserved "most enjoyable marathon."

This was the first marathon that I have ever run, and I must say this was a good one to start out with. The course was excellent, only a few hills that shouldn't even be labeled as hills. The community were very motivating and helpful. A good touch was running inside of Lambeau for the very last mile. This marathon was just awesome and I will definitely be doing this one sometime soon... not to mention the course is extremely fast. So if you're looking to qualify for Boston, this is a course to do it on.

This was my third Green Bay and I just can't say enough good things about it. Everything is absolutely top-notch. The course was a little different this year than last and I wasn't sure I was going to like it, but I ended up loving it and hope they keep it the way it is! I set a PR here last year and did it again in '07 - FINALLY breaking the 3:30 mark. The start and finish are great, there are plenty of volunteers, lots of aid at the aid stations and the course is one of my favorites. It is major PR/BQ material - mostly flat with just a few minor (and I mean minor) hills in the first half. The only thing that I would want them to change for the years to come is the t-shirt. I don't so much mind a cotton shirt, but the design has to get better. Other than that, the race is perfect the way it is. Oh yeah, there are free beer and brats at the finish if your stomach can handle it!
