TWIN CITIES MARATHON REGISTRATION HALF FULL
Registration on pace to fill in record time
Minneapolis, Minnesota - May 2, 2003 - Registration for the 22nd running of
the Twin Cities Marathon to be held on Sunday, October 5 is half full.
Within 24 hours since registration opened, 4,280 people have registered for
the 8,500 field limit, including 3,304 from on-line registrations. On-line
registration will close at 7,000 entrants.
Registration is on pace to fill in record time. Since registration is on a
first-come first-serve basis, participants are encouraged to register as
soon as possible. Participants may check the marathon's website at
www.twincitiesmarathon.org for on-line registration availability through
Active.com. To pick up a registration form in person, stop by the Twin
Cities Marathon office at 4050 Olson Memorial Highway or check with local
running stores and major health clubs, including LIFE TIME FITNESS.
Completed paper registration forms must be mailed to the loop station
address listed on the entry form. Forms will NOT be accepted if mailed to

The 2003 Twin Cities Marathon weekend is October 3-5. The three-day
weekend celebration of fitness includes a 5K fun run/walk, children's fun
runs, pasta dinner, two-day health and fitness expo and a 10-mile race in
addition to the marathon. Twin Cities Marathon continues its 12th
consecutive year as the designated USATF National Masters Championship for
men and women. Major corporate sponsors for the marathon are Cub Foods and
Seagate Technology. The major media sponsors are KARE 11 and Cities 97.
