Twin Cities In Motion Names Jeff Decker As Race Director

TWIN CITIES IN MOTION NAMES JEFF DECKER AS RACE DIRECTOR
Saint Paul, MN (March 30, 2011) –Twin Cities In Motion (TCM) today
announced the appointment of Jeff Decker to the position of Race Director.
Decker will oversee the growth of new events as well as manage the
logistics and operations of the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Weekend and
additional events throughout the year.
Decker brings with him a wealth of knowledge from New York Road Runners
where he served as senior manager of event management and logistics, as
well as the transportation manager of the ING New York City Marathon. He
took on key responsibilities, such as designing courses, implementing
safety plans, and maintaining race standards.
During his tenure with New York Road Runners, Decker was crucial in
developing a sound transportation plan for 40,000 people to the start line
of the ING New York City Marathon on Staten Island.
"Jeff's leadership, knowledge and race experience will be an asset to the
organization," said TCM Executive Director Virginia Brophy Achman. "His
familiarity with the national running community as well as his awareness
and attention to the needs and safety of the runner will be well utilized
as we continue to grow and add to the events we offer. We are excited to
have Jeff on staff and look forward to his leadership and contributions."
TCM works to promote health and fitness to people of all ages and abilities
by providing safe, quality events in the Twin Cities community. They
currently organize nearly a dozen events throughout the year, in addition
to the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Weekend events held every October.
