Prize Money Added For the 2007 Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon

Duluth, Minn.: Runners leaving the starting line at the Garry Bjorklund
Half Marathon next spring will have an extra incentive as they begin their
13.1-mile journey. Race organizers are pleased to announce the addition of
a prize money program for the 17th annual event. A total purse of $7,000
will be distributed to the top male and female runners with first-place
finishers each receiving $1,000.

"We have been very fortunate to witness many exceptional half marathon
performances since the first Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon in 1991. This is
a great opportunity for us to reward runners for their efforts in this
event," says Scott Keenan, executive director of Grandma's Marathon.

Total Purse - $7,000

Open Divisions (Male & Female)
1st - $1,000
2nd - $750
3rd - $500
4th - $250
5th - $100

40 & Over Divisions (Male & Female)
1st - $500
2nd - $300
3rd - $100

More than 6,100 runners registered for the 2006 Garry Bjorklund Half
Marathon, currently the nation's 17th largest half marathon.

The 17th annual Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon is Saturday, June 16, 2007 at
6:30 a.m. Registration will begin in late February. To request an entry
form, send a self-addressed, stamped, #10 business size envelope with a
note requesting a half marathon entry form to: Grandma's Marathon, P.O. Box
16234, Duluth, MN 55816. Registration for the half marathon is done through
