Fox Cities Marathon Announces Registration Cap
APPLETON, WI – A registration cap for each of the Community First Fox
Cities Marathon Festival of Races weekend events has been announced. With
nearly five times the amount of registrations as last year at this time,
the cap was implemented to ensure that all race participants have a safe
and enjoyable experience on race weekend. It also allows Fox Cities
Marathon staff the ability to better plan and prepare for supplies needed
for race weekend, including medals, shirts, water, food, timing chips, etc.
The following are the 2009 Registration Caps for each race:
Community First Fox Cities Marathon - 2,000 (this includes the early
and regular starts)
Kimberly-Clark Half Marathon & Appleton Papers 13.1 Mile Walk
(combined) - 4,000
Orthopedic & Sports Institute Relay Marathon - 200 teams
Time Warner Cable 5k Run/Walk - 1,500
Guardian Kids Fun Run - 1,000
Any individual interested in participating in the Community First Fox
Cities Marathon Festival of Races is encouraged to register as soon as
possible to guarantee their spot at the start line. The current
registration fees are effective through July 31 or until our registration

The Community First Fox Cities Marathon provides a healthy weekend of six
running and walking events for any age or ability. As a 501(c)3 non-profit
organization, the Fox Cities Marathon partners with area charities and
