Cyprus Marathon, Half Marathon & 10 km - Sunday 13th March 2011

Run in the historic city of Pafos and finish strong at the Pafos Mediaeval
Fort square! Join hundreds of participants this year for the 2011 Cyprus
Marathon, Half Marathon & 10 km, the oldest and best city marathon in all
of Cyprus!

The Cyprus Marathon hosts over 500 runners and hundreds of cheering
spectators each year, giving runners from around the world the opportunity
to run under Cyprus winter sun and have fun. The start and finish areas for
the Half Marathon & 10 km races are located at the Pafos Mediaeval Fort
square nearby the world famous Pafos fishing harbour. The Marathon will
start from Petra tou Romiou (Birthplace of Aphrodite goddess of love and
beauty) and finish at the Pafos Mediaeval Fort square. Runners will be
transferred by buses (free of charge) to the start of the Marathon race
(Petra tou Romiou) from the Pafos Mediaeval Fort near Pafos Harbour.

All participants will receive a souvenir T-shirt and a finisher's medal.
Trophies will be awarded in 50 different age group categories. For each of
the events there will be additional prizes of the cooling vests and hats
from the sponsoring company Hyperkewl – Cooling product range. The
entertainment activity programme will include a dancing group who will
perform both Greek / Cypriot folk dance and invite participants and
spectators to join in.
