The Cowtown Marathon To Add 30+ Mile Race
To Celebrate 30th Anniversary

FORT WORTH-"We're excited to be entering into the world of
ultra-marathoning," said Jim Gilliland, race director for The Cowtown
events for all thirty years. "It's fitting that a long-time event like ours
should offer a long 30+ mile race to celebrate our 30th birthday. We have
always been a leader in area road racing and are thrilled to be among the
first to offer ultra-marathoners a competitive event in North Texas,"
Gilliland added.

Details of the race course are not yet finalized, but like the other
Cowtown events, it will be timed with the ChampionChip that was first used
in the 2007 races. Because ultra-marathoning attracts a small select group
of runners, awards are generally given to the top finishers rather than by
age division in that event.

More information about the new 30+ mile event, as well as the other Cowtown
races and special 30th anniversary celebrations, will be posted on The
Cowtown website www.cowtownmarathon.org as it becomes available.
