               Berlin Marathon World Record Ratified by IAAF

The international athletics federation IAAF has now ratified the world 
record mark of 2:03:38 hrs by Kenyan Patrick Makau at the BMW BERLIN 
MARATHON on September 25th, 2011. Also ratified was Makau's world record 
for 30 km as a split time of the same marathon.

The next BMW BERLIN MARATHON takes place on September 30th, 2012. All of 
the 40.000 entries have sold out already. Certified travel agents have a 
few spots left in connection with travel arrangements.
