                     Start of Online Registration For the 
                           BMW Berlin Marathon 2012
						  
At noon on Thursday, October 20, online registration for the 39th BMW 
BERLIN MARATHON on September 30, 2012 will begin. The limit is set at 
40,000 participants. The registration fee for the first 10,000 registrants 
is 60 Euros. The next 15,000 registrations will have a 80 Euro fee, and the 
remaining will have a 100 Euro fee. This year the participant limit was 
reached by February.

The BMW BERLIN MARATHON is one of the biggest and fastest marathons 
worldwide and belongs to the World Marathon Majors, the "Grand Slam of 
Marathon running", together with the marathons in Boston, London, Chicago 
and New York City. Eight times world record marks have been set in Berlin, 
the last one just recently on September 25th, 2011, when Kenyan Patrick 
Makau won in 2:03:38 hrs.
