FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Air Force Marathon Registration Prices To Increase After August 1st

Wright-Patterson AFB, OH - If you're planning to run in the Air Force
Marathon on September 18 but haven't registered yet, now is the time to
sign up. Prices will increase again on Monday, August 2st.

In addition to saving money on the race, there is another compelling reason
to sign up now. You may not get in if you don't. According to Race Director
Molly Louden, the full marathon is 75% full, and the half marathon is more
than 65% full. "Registrations are up almost 70% over last year's numbers,"
said Louden. "We have increased our race caps in every category, and we
still anticipate selling out before race day."

To encourage those who have been delaying registration until the last
minute, the Air Force Marathon is running an All Access Prize Promotion
through August 1st. Everyone who is registered by then will be eligible to
win the All Access Prize, which consists of hotel stay, tickets to the
pasta dinner and race director's breakfast, VIP parking, DV passes and
more. Second and third place prizes will also be awarded. Complete prize
details and rules are available on the marathon's website at
www.usafmarathon.com.

Those wishing to register for the marathon should do so online for the best
price by visiting www.usafmarathon.com. For questions about registering,
call 937-257-4350.

The Air Force Marathon, presented by Northrop Grumman, USAA and Boeing,
will be held Sept. 18 at the National Museum of the United States Air
Force. Participants start and finish at the National Air Force Museum, and
spectators are welcome at the museum or in downtown Fairborn. Other events
include a half marathon and 10K to be held on the 18th. Wright State
University and the Air Force Marathon will co-host a 5K run on Sept. 17 a
the Ervin J. Nutter Center. The Sports and Fitness Expo will also be held
at the Nutter Center on Sept. 16-17.
