Two masters men, Janusz Sarnicki 44 of Poland, and Matthew Green 40 of Anchorage, were second and third at the 2010 Mayor's Marathon in 2:46:50 and 2:53:39 respectively. Female masters runner Monica Ross, 44 of Anchorage, was second in the women's race in 3:10:36.

Native Alaskans nabbed the top three sports at the Mayor's Marathon. Defending champion Jerry Ross won in 2:36:38 followed by followed by Jeff Heuseveldt of Anchorage, runner-up in a personal-best 2:41:20, and third-place finisher Mark Lindberg of Fairbanks in 2:41:50. Annie Thiessen in her 101st career marathon, nabbed her sixth straight marathon victory this year with a 3:01:34 which was a 20-minute gap over runner-up Dorothy Shearn.
