Shanghai's Marathon Breaks Records

Roads To Be Blocked As 20,000 Run Shanghai City Streets

Twenty-thousand runners hit the starting line for the thirteenth annual Shanghai International Marathon. Gashaw Asfaw of Ethiopia recorded a new course record with a time of 2 hours, 9 minutes and 28 seconds. Russian Irina Timofeyeva won the womens race win in 2 hours 26 minutes and 19 seconds.
