In his fourth marathon, Ceulemans, who was running his fourth marathon, won in 2:31:43. He finished eleven seconds ahead of Rupert Green (2: 37.22) and defending champion Andrew Gutzmore (2:41.32).

Boston Runner Dies After Completing Reggae Marathon

Jamaica's Reggae Marathon experienced another case of this year's Marathon deaths on Sunday. 59 year old Jim Lindstrom from Boston collapsed about five minutes after receiving his medal. He was one of the top finishers.
