With numbers nearly twenty percent higher than last year, the inclement weather did not seem to be a factor for the Fredericton Marathon. Alex Coffin rolled to the victory in 2 hours 47 minutes and 34 seconds.

   Rothesay runner third in Fredericton Marathon (Telegraph Journal)
In his third marathon, Travis Saunders won the thirtieth Fredericton Marathon in a time of 2:43:34 beating 2006 champion Len Falkenstein by ten minutes. Falkenstein followed in 2:53 and Bruce Rosvall was third in a 2:55:53. Janice Ashworth, competing in her first marathon, won in a 3:06:27. Daun Lynch and Maggie Johnson rounded out the top three for women with times of 3:14:14 and 3:21:03 respectively.
