Boston Marathon - Previous Head-To-Head Results

In the men's race, Robert Kipkoech Cheruiyot is the man to beat at Boston. Clearly it's Robert's race with three prior wins at Boston (not to mention the course record), and the fact that he has never lost a marathon to any man in the current field.

The women's race features a rivalry between Lidiya Grigoryeva and Jelena Prokopcuka that extends across many races. Speaking with Jelena before the race, she let us know that she is always happy to push the pace and lead the race if she feels the race is being run too slowly. Grigoryeva has told us that she felt lucky in 2007 - she ran in the back and others were not focusing on her. She thinks that this year all will be watching her as the defending champion and she will be forced to lead. Who will lead, who will follow, who will win? We shall see.
