I'm running the Eugene Marathon in a month. I did 20 miles yesterday, but was fading fast averaging 9 minutes over the last 3 by running and walking. I didn't feel like there was any way I could finish 26. I ran a 1:31 half marathon a couple monthes ago, but my training has been sporadic averaging about 20 miles per week. I tried to step up my mileage this week by doing 14 on Monday (no problems, 7:40 pace) then the 20 on Friday. Did I just increase my mileage too quickly, or am I doomed for my first marathon?
