I did a half w/ only 8 miles

my first half I did w/ only 8 miles of training. I took it pretty easy, I was soooo sore afterwards, and it was not my best race. But it was fun, and I did so not injured. I think you could do it... but it might not be your best time... but if you take this more like a training- than a race - with your pace a little slower, you might be able to run the next half in 6 weeks. It is all about your body and how quickly you bounce back. It usually takes me 2 weeks of lower mileage to bounce back after a half marathon road race... but that's just me.
